Filters

How to narrow results: price and unit, features, distance and sorting.

How the filters work

Filters open from the search bar and change with what you are looking for. Parking shows vehicle types, a charging point and covered parking; storage shows the space type and what fits inside.

Switching between parking and storage clears the filters. A vehicle type says nothing about storage, and a filter that survived the switch returns an empty list without explaining why.

Next to the filters button you can see how many filters are active. The count includes every value you picked in a list, not just the list itself.

Clearing the filters inside the panel clears only what is in the panel. The place and the time you chose in the search bar stay.

How the filters work

A price ceiling works only with a price unit

A price ceiling works only together with a price unit. Without a unit there is nothing to compare against and the ceiling narrows nothing, which is why, where a unit has not been chosen yet, the price field is blocked until you choose one.

For storage the unit is always the month, and it is chosen for you the moment you move to a storage search. For parking there are three units: hour, day and month.

The price unit is a filter in its own right. A space its host did not price in that unit drops out of the results entirely, instead of appearing with an empty price.

The price shown is what the host asks for that unit. Sorting by price uses the same unit you chose.

The parking filters

The vehicle types are motorcycle, mini, small car, large car, van, truck and bus. Picking several types widens the results: it is enough that the space suits one of them.

Charging point leaves only spaces that have one. Covered leaves only covered parking.

Available now leaves only parking spaces their hosts marked as available immediately.

The feature filters check what the host declared in the listing. They do not check dates, and that question has its own field in the search bar.

The storage filters

The space type is a long list, from a private storage room to a storage container or a locker. Picking several types widens the results: it is enough that the space is one of them.

What fits works the other way round. It is a list of requirements, so a space appears only if it supports everything you marked. Marking four items narrows far more than marking one.

Ground floor leaves spaces on the ground floor, and 24/7 access leaves spaces you can enter at any hour. The app also has a climate control filter.

These filters describe the space itself, not its availability. When you need it and for how many months are separate questions in the search bar.

Distance and sorting

The distance filter and the nearest sort appear only after you choose a place from the suggestions. Without a centre point there is nothing to measure from.

Distance is measured from the listing's public point, which is snapped to a grid of about 300 metres. Treat it as an estimate, not an exact measurement.

The other sorts are newest, price low to high and price high to low. The default is newest.

Sorting by price compares prices in one unit, so spaces with no price in that unit are already not in the list being sorted.

When filtering leaves no results

If the list is empty, widen one filter at a time and check after each change. That is how you learn which filter closed it.

Start with what fits, if you marked several items there. It is a list of requirements, and one item no space supports is enough to empty the results.

Then the dates and the number of months, then the price ceiling, and last the distance. Dates are the strongest filter, because they check existing reservations and the host's booking rules.

If there are still no results after that, there may simply be no published spaces in the area yet. A listing appears only after it has been reviewed and approved.
