Getting started
What Peelpel is, how to look for a space, and what happens when you book.

What Peelpel is
Peelpel is a marketplace for parking spaces and storage spaces. People who have a space to spare list it, and you rent it for as long as you need.
There are two channels: parking and storage. Parking is let by the hour, by the day or by the month. Storage is let by the month only.
Peelpel is where you find the space and pay for it. Payment is by card, inside Peelpel, when you book.
You can search and view listings without an account. To book a space or to message the host you need to sign in.
Browsing without an account
Searching is open to everyone. You can open the site or the app, search by city, apply filters, open a listing and see the map — without signing up.
An account is needed for four things: booking a space, messaging the host, saving a listing to favourites and saving a search.
Even after you sign in, the listing still shows only the city and area. The exact address opens after the payment has gone through.
Parking and storage: the difference
Parking is let by the hour, by the day or by the month. The host chooses which tariffs to offer, and you can book only a tariff they offered and priced.
A parking space can be marked "available now". The mark means the host states it is free right now. For every space, the booking closes when the payment goes through, with no approval from the host.
Storage is let by the month only. There is no hourly or daily tariff for storage, and the end date is derived from the start date and the number of months.
A host sets a minimum number of months, and sometimes a maximum. Some storage spaces are also offered as a renewing rental with no end date fixed in advance.
How a booking works
You choose a rate and a duration and pay by card, and the booking closes when the payment goes through. The rental starts at that moment.
There is no host approval and no waiting for an answer. The host is notified of the booking and is not required to approve it.
From the moment the booking exists, the dates you chose are blocked on the listing's calendar and nobody else can book them.
After the payment goes through, the exact address and the other side's phone number open, inside the conversation about this listing. Before that they do not open.
The host can cancel a booking they cannot honour, and so can you. A cancellation releases the dates and tells the other side.
What a listing shows, and what it does not
A listing shows the city and the area. It does not show the street, the house number or the exact location inside the property.
The map pin is not the address. The location is snapped to a grid of about 300 metres, so every listing in the same cell is drawn at the same point. It is enough to understand a neighbourhood, not a building.
The full address opens after the payment for the booking has gone through. It appears in the conversation with that person.
Listings are reviewed before they appear
Every listing goes through a review before it appears in search. A listing that has not been approved is visible to nobody but its owner.
A listing that is rejected gets a written reason. Its owner can correct it and send it for review again.
A listing is not deleted. Removing it moves it to the archive, and restoring it brings it back as a draft — not straight back online, because the review approved text and photos that may have changed since.
Payment
You pay by credit card, inside Peelpel, when you book. Payment is processed through SUMIT, and the booking closes only when the payment goes through.
The amount shown on the booking screen is the price the host set for the period you chose, including VAT. That is the amount charged, and it is saved with the booking.
Nothing is added to the renter's charge beyond that price. Peelpel's commission is deducted from the host's share, not added to your charge.
